There were others that got it from josh as Kush but they didn't blow it out like we did. Eventually there were others being sold as Kush that were clearly not the same as the Kush we grew. Right about that time in the Valley, OG would be added in conversation to anything that was the first. At first only to things that were kinda "gangster", like. Meaning the original because it was first.

Later it was added by everybody to anything that was first, like, "I ate at the OG McDonald's today" "they closed the OG vans store". Not long after that, everything that was Kush became OGkush. Not long after that, names were being added to all the different OGKush like, SFV, Larry, Tahoe. The real had been whored out!!! Too many people in too many places had it for the truth to be believed. People start guessing it meant OceanGrown, Original Ganster(in a twisted way it did)Kush. Around that time ers was being added to a lot of things.

People names, they went from Sean to Seaners!lol OG became OGers. I always hated that one! It's kinda like the homies in the Bay Area. They put "hella" in front of a ton of shit! Almost anything! haha for a minute OG was the same here in the valley. I haddnt heard of it till my boys and B got it from josh. joshD had it in the valley years before any magazine printed anything about it. One more thing I won't say too much about. Watch the Adam Dunn show were joshD says something like. "next thing I know Cypress Hill is in my house". Kush well if you think any strain with KUSH in its name has anything to do with any original landrace strain from the HINDU KUSH area and surrounding valleys you are seriously mistaken, the weed grown there is good for making HASHISH and CHARAS a hand rubbed form of hash, but you really wouldn't want to smoke the grass The name KUSH has been miss appropriated by some very stoned dudeswho I suspect just liked the way KUSH rolls off the some chance the strain you think is from that region and calls itself any form of KUSH may long, long ago in its very Hybridised history have some PAKI or AFGHANI buried in its lineage but is so completely alien to anything that is grown in that region. If you actually came across some of that weed you would probably bin it Nobody just shows up at grow houses! that's all I'm gonna say about that. KUSH it's a nice name but that's all.I've been there drunk the BHANG.smoked the HASH/WEED and bought the T Shirt and thank SHIVA the strains we smoke today calling themselves KUSH have very little to do with the HINDU KUSH mountains and valleys.Chaka crouched with a dozen spray cans in front of a wall in the blistering heat of the Lancaster desert. With the sweep of his right hand, he shot bold black lines on the white surface. It was not graffiti that he sprayed, but a biblical scene: Men walking from blackness into a stunning rainbow and a golden yellow sun.Ĭhaka, a.k.a. Daniel Bernardo Ramos, was once California’s most notorious tagger, a Boyle Heights teen-ager who sprayed his moniker in the dark of night on 10,000 walls, bridges, freeway signs and lampposts between Oakland and Orange County, according to prosecutors. During his two-year spree, cut short by arrests and drugs, he was hailed by some as an anti-Establishment hero and reviled by others as a monstrous symbol of urban blight.

He lives in an all-male drug rehab center on a dusty two-acre flood plain, awakening every day at 4:30 a.m. Secular books, tape recorders, radios and televisions are forbidden, as are cursing, alcohol and visitors. His Eastside homeboys and tagging partners do not know where he has gone. There are also 54 rules of conduct at the center, regulating everything from hairstyles to restroom visits during church service. Loudspeakers almost constantly blare tapes of zealous religious sermons.
